Visitors to the Garden

A beautiful Bullfinch visited the garden today, pecking away at the branches to find insects for breakfast.  It’s interesting to watch him hopping around a number of branches to find what he was looking for.  He’s puffed up against the cold as the temperature here is one degrees. So, doing my bit for the nature, I’ve made sure that all the bird feeders are full.  Now I’m looking forward to many more visits.

  1. I haven’t seen any Kate, but we’ve had goldfinches, long tail tits, bullfinches. We’ve had thrushes but no fieldfares or redwings yet. They might be in the back fields but not in the garden. Lots of starlings too!!!
