Ah yes! Here we go again.  So, let’s see, we’ve had #DrawingAugust and #PaintSeptember and guess what (the clue is in the title of this post!), it’s time for #PrintOctober.

Allan Kirk @tarnincolour asked what print methods there are and there’s a whole gambit to choose from.  Monotype, Linocut, Woodcut, Drypoint, Etchings, Aquatints, Collagraphs, Screenprinting, and Lithographs.  You see what I mean.  However, I think unless you’re a seasoned printmaker it would be good to start simple to begin that printmaking journey.  So, what can you start doing without much equipment.  Well, that would be Monotypes.

Here’s a brilliant video by Simon Ripley of Double Elephant Print Studios in Exeter talking to you about three different types of monoprints.
