Pheasant Linocut

Did you know that the pheasant is not a native bird of Britain but their origins is unknown. The only general agreement is that they were introduced into Britain in the 15th century.

I often see pheasants when I walk Mr P, I have to make sure he’s on the lead otherwise you know what will be on the dinner plate! I love how colourful the male pheasant is, and the iridescent nature of their plumage. I’m looking forward to capturing these colours in my next linoprint.
