#DrawingAugust Day 6

I’m starting to turn my attention to the next colour linocut and I think this bird will be magnificent as a colour Lino print. I live near to a place called Snell Wood which is managed by the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) and this wood is renowned for it’s Heronry. I visited this wood in March to see the Herons fledging. It is quite a sight to see such a majestic bird at the top of the tall trees surveying the landscape they can oversee. I spent quite a while there sketching until G got bored. So, we came away with many photos, sketches and memories of these birds and now I’m hoping to turn these into a beautiful vibrant print!
